I moved to Leavenworth with my family in 1955 when I was two. My dad was a manufacturer/inventor, and with the proceeds of a victory garden tiller he had invented (MerryTiller) he had purchased a 1280 acre ranch in Big Chumstick Creek (now called Merry Canyon) a couple of years before the move.
At that time there were only about 20 families living in the 9 miles between our house and town. Things have changed some since. Those were the days before Leavenworth went Bavarian.
In about 1965 dad had to sell some of the ranch to meet obligations, and in the process ran headlong into the newly formed Chelan County Planning Department. Thus began my reluctant exposure to and education in “Land Use Planning”. I can now tell you where it got started and how it grew into the creature it is today, and tell stories of the injustice left in it’s wake.
I’ve been in and around the real estate business most of my life and a licensed Realtor since 1990. I’ve been a builder, rancher, farmer, shooting club manager and hunting guide, welder, plumber, electrician, heavy equipment operator, and along the way spent time with my dad (who passed on in 1990) in research and development.
I’ve learned a great deal through my adventures. The value and security in honesty ranking among the best. What I expect you to experience in working with me is honesty. A man you can trust and feel good about referring your friends to.
Let your Leavenworth real estate experience begin here, and end with your name among my growing list of satisfied customers who have also become my good friends.
